Glenn Towery is an actor, director and writer for film and theater. In theater he was mentored by the  world renown director Edmund James Cambridge who was a founding member of the NEGRO ENSEMBLE COMPANY in New York. Glenn also spent quite a bit of time at the legendary Inner City Cultural Center which was under the direction of the late great C. Bernard Jackson. His credits for the theater are numerous but he is probably best remembered as “MR. Boo Boo” in his one man play “THE ONE”, written by Oliver Pitcher. “THE ONE” is a play that Glenn Towery performs every 15 years and this year he will perform it again for what may be the very last time. He also will star in the film version which is set for production during the summer of 2010.

Glenn has his own channel on Youtube. His most recent project is a feature documentary on the Million Man March which happened in 1995 in Washington D.C., it is titled “LONG LIVE THE SPIRIT”. This projects original title was  “Glenn & Linus Michael Attend the Million Man March”. The new project is slated for a world premiere in Washington D.C. later this year, and has a running time of 100 minutes.

Glenn’s production company is “Fairy God Brother Productions & Film Company, LLC. Besides the feature “THE ONE”, there is a another documentary scheduled for release “THE THREE HAMMERS OF HOUSTON” and a trailer for the upcoming motion picture “STARFUNK and the ASTRAL PIONEERS”. Entertaining and educating people is a task that we take seriously so  we hope you support our projects this year by purchasing DVD’s and visiting theaters.”

Glenn’s next project involves the creation of a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the creation of minority film distribution in theaters nationwide.
