2010 Grammy Nominee Hawaiian Category
Amy strongly represents the diversity of the people from the Wee-Haw of the Hawaiian cowboy, to the gracious beauty of traditional hula, to contemporary Hawaiian jazz.
Her show is, all at once, musically eclectic, visually astonishing, and a lesson in Hawaiian history.
Today, after 10 albums, Amy Hānaiali‘i remains Hawai‘i’s top selling female vocalist and has undoubtedly established herself as Hawai‘i’s most respected and loved female vocalist, songwriter, composer and performer.
Honored to have opened for Carlos Santana in Germany, Willie Nelson, Diana Krall, Joe Cocker, Wayne Newton, Arlo Guthrie, The Beach Boys, Ernie Watts, Boz Scaggs, Earth, Wind and Fire, Sergio Mendes, she shares the beauty of Hawaii around the world. Amy is officially Hawai‘i’s Music Ambassador, as proclaimed by Hawai‘i’s Governor Linda Lingle.
Hānaiali‘i is a classically trained vocalist which allows her to share her love of her culture through many genres of music. Amy’s success as a recording artist speaks for itself and is evidenced by the multitude of awards and acknowledgements including four GRAMMY® nominations for Best Hawaiian Music Album.
